RED-Hub is a Construction Document Management web based system owned, maintained and provided by Tender Edge Pty Ltd.
Tender Edge is a Document Management Business, with a construction and IT background, and an interest in improving and modernizing the process of document management in the construction industry.
Tender Edge has had a Construction Document Management System in place for eight years, and our services are offered to all commercial construction companies. Currently there are many Projects managed through or document management software with individual project values between 20 thousand dollars through to over 350 million dollars.
We are continually upgrading and customizing RED-Hub to suit the needs of the Construction Industry, Project Managers, Design Consultants, Subcontractors and Suppliers.

From this screen project participants can view the complete set of current drawings and specifications. Any updated drawings or specifications are simply uploaded to the Centralised Document Register. All project participants that have been relevance linked to the updated document or documents received an automated “notification of updated documentation” email.

Lump Sum Tendering with Red-Hub
RED-Hub Lump Sum Tendering is an easy to use, fast, and efficient online tool. Estimators who are looking for an efficient system that is easily understood and operated, by subcontractors and suppliers will be impressed with RED-Hub’s performance.
Simply upload all your tender documents onto the RED-Hub platform, and all drawings, specifications and documents are available for your subcontractors to view and download.
Tap into the RED-Hub Subcontractor Library, select the subcontractors and suppliers you require for tender packages, and send a personalised, mass email Request for Tender (RFT). Subcontractors will receive a personalised request and a link to view and download all tender documentation. You can also add and save your own contacts to the Red-Hub library for all your future tenders.
Drawings, specification and documents can be arranged in trade packages, for an instant single zip file download, that will contain all relevant documents to their trade expertise.
You can automatically notify all relevant trades of addendums, needed for inclusion in their trade prices.
Subcontractors linked to RED-Hub are stored in an electronic library system. The library is accessible to all subcontractors, for the purpose of updating their own contact information.
Email and Project Communications
The Red-Hub communication module is an easy to use tracking system for all major project correspondence.
Whether it be Requests for Information, Site Instructions, Variation Requests, Design Correspondence, or General Project Messaging, RED-Hub will facilitate your import project related correspondence.
Correspondence is capatured and stored throughout the project duration as a permanent record. Communications records are stored and archived with all drawings, specifications and documentation after project completion.
Documentation Status and Tenders
Often there are large, and complex Design and Construct Projects, with high quantities of document movement as drawings are put forward for review and approval. Documents are continually moving through different stages of submission and approval from Conceptual, Preliminary, Preliminary Design, Approved for Tender, Approved for Construction, and other stages.
The Red-Hub Document Platform is the hub for all documentation movement, with all drawings, specifications and documentation logged with a stage status that is clearly identified to all Project Participants.
Project Managers can easily call prices from subcontractors, and suppliers through RED-Hub by utilizing the Tenders module. Here specific drawings, specifications and documentation are selected, as specifically required for tendering on the trade requested. The personalized invitation emailed via RED-Hub will contain a link that will lead the subcontractor or supplier directly to the relevant documentation within the project.
Subcontractor and Supplier Interface
The RED-Hub Document Management System is a well thought out tool for Subcontractors and Suppliers. RED-Hub has been designed to be fast and efficient, and very simple to use. Within seconds from logging in, subcontractors can be downloading document files, and sending off print requests. Subcontractors and suppliers have complete profile access to maintain and update all their own contact details.
Superseded Drawings Specifications and Documentation
RED-Hub’s Centralised Document Register is the central point for the most recent drawings, specifications, and documentation to reside. The updating and superseding of new revisions is an easy process.
A Consultant or Project Manager that uploads a new document is automatically transitioned through the superseding of documents process. The new updated documentation is displayed in the Centralised Document Register, and any superseded drawings, specifications and documentation are stored behind the current revisions, with the full revision history recorded. Superseded drawings, specifications and documentation, are easily accessible, and can be review by all Project Participants.
All project participants that have been linked to the particular drawing/s, specification/s, and documentation will receive an automated “notification of updated documentation” email.
What Does RED-Hub cost?
Each project is costed separately. Costings will be calculated against:
- The type of Project Delivery System,
- The physical size of the project,
- The approximate value of the project, and
- The anticipated amount of electronic movement.
As RED-Hub is built around a shared cost concept, and structured to reflect value for money, costings may be as low as 30% the cost of other leading document management systems.
RED-Hub is particularly cost competitive when utilised across a construction business for all their construction projects and lump sum tenders.
Project Archiving
RED-Hub has an efficient system of archiving all drawings, specifications and documentation from concept design through to project maintenance manuals, in an easy to navigate filing system. Archived files are burnt to disk or transferred to hard drive at the Project Owner's Request.
